Raida Al-Sahili
As I am from a family of hairdressers, hair has always been a part of my upbringing. As a Child, almost everyday after school I would go to my dads salon and watch him style hair. My two brothers whom followed my fathers footsteps remain in the industry today.
My brother Radi has taught me everything I know and continues to inspire me through my career.
I have to say the best part about the industry is the connection you build with your clients and the faith/trust they put in you as their stylist.
Stacy Macpherson
My career started with training at the EvelineCharles Academy and I then went on to work at EvelineCharles Salon and Spa. I joined Volume in 2009 and have enjoyed every moment of it. It’s wonderful to work in a smaller more intimate salon, where clients are welcomed as friends.
It is important to me to keep on top of the latest trends and techniques, so that I can offer them to my clients.
Laceigh Pilger
Since my journey at Volume began in 2008, I have had many opportunities to flourish as a stylist. Some of my education includes a week long program of ABC cutting with Vidal Sassoon Toronto; Luxury hair technology – advanced cutting with Christiano Cora from New York; Mind Body Spirit cutting with Alterna; Farouk Collection cutting; Mask color training and several product knowledge classes for Alterna, Davines and Kerastase.
The reason I love doing hair is how it can transform someone not just from the outside but from the inside as well, I’m sure you all know how having a bad hair cut or color can dampen your mood! I’ve always wanted to be in the beauty or fashion industry, where ever I go I’m always looking for new styles for hair and clothes, travelling to France was one of the best experiences i’ve had as far as inspiration and creativity.
Chelsey Baird
I first became interested in hair when I was only seven years old. My neighbour did hair from her home and was always open to teaching me everything I wanted to know about being a stylist. She told me about the cosmetology program they offered at the high school she taught at and the next year I had switched schools and registered for the class. She ended up being my cosmetology teacher all through high school in the cos 10, 20, and 30 level. I have been doing hair for two years now and have had a lot of excellent opportunities to expend my knowledge of hair.
Before starting at volume I was lucky enough to take a class on shwarkpskof’s new “essensity” color and product line, and once I started working at volume I was introduced to a whole new world of education opportunities. I have been educated in the Kerastase line and the Davine’s color line “MASK”.
Linsey Olsen
My name is Lindsey Olsen and i’ve been a stylist for 7 years and at Volume Salon for 4 1/2 years.
My passion for Hair started when I took a course in my grade 12 year in high school. I knew from then on that being a stylist, making people feel wonderful and building a relationship with them is what I LOVE and wanted to do.
My education continued at Marvel College for 9 months, then worked for Aveda salon’s and apprenticed under the 2 salon owners for 2 years and then attended Aveda Academy in Calgary for advanced Hair Cutting. In the Academy we spent 6 month learning design form hair cutting techniques from Vidal Sassoon and the top Hair designers for Aveda Canada. In the Academy I also took numerous classes on costumer service, product knowledge, fashion and salon business.
